Baby teeth at age 9?

My sister%26#039;s little boy has not lost his baby teeth and shows no sign of doing so - he has had some other developmental delays

Has anyone had any experience with this being symptomatic of another condition?

Baby teeth at age 9?
I knew a boy who did not loose his baby teeth until age 10. Everyone%26#039;s different, it dfepends on when and how fast adult teeth develop.
Reply:he should be fine! have your sister take him to the dentist if they say everything is ok then its alright he is just probably a little late. hope i could help
Reply:everyone is different, just make sure he has regular dental visits==every 6 months~~~~
Reply:This is totally normal/fine and actually a positive. The longer he keeps the baby teeth, the better as they usually get a few cavities.
Reply:Yes, this is quite delayed, but it%26#039;s not unheard of, especially in view of other developmental delays. It might be prudent to have a panoramic x-ray made and evaluated just to be sure everything looks like it%26#039;s on course.
Reply:My cousin had this and he had to go get the rest of them pulled out because they had not came out by age 16 but wait till your sisters little boy is like a teenager or if she is so worried about it she should take him to the dentist and he should have a consultatino with her about it if he has something wrong.
Reply:To be sure consult a dentist----

A baby tooth comes out because the permanent tooth is pushing it out. It is not uncommon for some people to keep their one or two of their baby teeth until their adulthood. This happens when there is no permanent tooth.
